BATTER FRIED CRAWFISH TAILS

Batter fried crawfish tails recipe from Louisiana Kitchen & CultureIngredients:

1 egg, beaten
1/4 cup evaporated milk
1/2 teaspoon prepared mustard 3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 cup flour
1/2 cup corn meal
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 lb large, peeled crawfish tails oil for frying

Method:

In a bowl, beat egg; add milk, mustard, salt, pepper and garlic powder and mix well. In another bowl, sift flour, corn meal and baking powder together and mix well. Dip crawfish tails into the egg mixture one at a time, drain a little and dip into the flour mixture. Drop into hot oil at 375 ?F and fry until golden brown, drain on paper towels.
