JEFF BRUHL I was raised in Folsom, Louisiana spending my days hunting and fishing along the Bogue Falaya River. After graduating from Pharmacy school in 1986, my off time was used for fishing. From Grand Isle to the rivers of the Northshore, my love of fishing has only grown over the years. I caught the bass tournament bug after winning a few local events. I have competed in many BASS Central Opens, Federation Nation, and BASS Weekend Series tournament. After Captain Dee Geoghagen turned in an article for me, I have added outdoor writing to my list of duties. With the help of friends like Don Dubuc and Captain Dee, the opportunities in the outdoor world have grown, too. From a membership in the LOWA to my own love of the fishing has become more than a hobby. Madisonville is my home now. It is close to the Causeway trout and in the middle of some of the best bass fishing in the country. Add in a few article trips for redfish and trout in the marshes of Louisiana and there is no place like home in the Sportsman Paradise.
