LOWA ANNOUNCES FISH OF THE YEAR WINNER
Paul Heideman from Chase, LA will be awarded the Louisiana Outdoor Writers Association’s prestigious Fish of the Year award in the Rod & Reel Division for his catch of a 28.44lb Freshwater Drum on March 11th of 2011. Paul will receive his award at the LOWA annual conference awards banquet dinner on August 11, 2012 at the Best Western Plus in Chalmette, LA.
Annually LOWA presents award to the angler(s) voted by the LOWA Fish Records Committee to have had the most significant catch in the previous year. Although not presented every year in both divisions, awards can be won in both Rod & Reel and Fly Fishing Divisions.
The Louisiana Outdoor Writers Association (LOWA) is a non-profit organization of professional outdoor writers and journalists following the principles of educating the citizens of Louisiana about preservation and conservation of our state's natural resources.
