JEFF BRUHL I was raised in Folsom, Louisiana spending my days hunting and fishing along the Bogue Falaya River. After graduating from Pharmacy school in 1986, my off time was used for fishing. From Grand Isle to the rivers of the Northshore, my love of fishing has only grown over the years. I caught the bass tournament bug after winning a few local events. I have competed in many BASS Central Opens, Federation Nation, and BASS Weekend Series tournament. After Captain Dee Geoghagen turned in an article for me, I have added outdoor writing to my list of duties. With the help of friends like Don Dubuc and Captain Dee, the opportunities in the outdoor world have grown, too. From a membership in the LOWA to my own website, marshbass.com, my love of the fishing has become more than a hobby. Madisonville is my home now. It is close to the Causeway trout and in the middle of some of the best bass fishing in the country. Add in a few article trips for redfish and trout in the marshes of Louisiana and there is no place like home in the Sportsman Paradise. |

GLEN CORMIER
I grew up fishing western and central Louisiana waters. After college, earned my nickname as a successful bass angler, but soon switched to mostly fly fishing. In 1988, I made my first kayak fishing trip while in south Florida, hooked a big snook, and the sport of "puddling" hooked me! Today I give paddle fishing seminars at various events. I'm also past-president of the Federation of Fly Fishers Gulf Council, an FFF certified casting instructor, columnist for Louisiana Sportsman magazine, and webmaster for laflyfish.com. I enjoy life with my wife and three kids - all of whom fish, and swim like fish - at our home in Tigertown. If you've got questions on puddling or flyfishing, please email me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . |
