Louisiana Operation Game Thief Inc. Issues $22,100 in 2012
Many of those “Bad Boyz of the Outdoorz” stories you hear each Saturday morning on my radio program are the result of tips received from concerned citizens as evidenced by the following:
Louisiana Operation Game Thief Inc. (LOGT), a Louisiana wildlife crime-stoppers program, awarded $9,200 to diligent citizens statewide at their quarterly meeting on Jan. 26 in Baton Rouge.
Outdoor Channel’s executive producer Michael Bane recently sent an email to state Senator Steve King (R-Grand Junction) warning him that if the gun bills under consideration by the state senate pass, the channel would say good-bye to the centennial state.
As you might expect in the business I'm in of outdoor writing and broadcasting, I get to meet some very interesting people. And every once in a while I meet someone who is well, just plain unforgettable. Recently I met one of those people. His name is Everett Johnson and he lives in the small town of Turkey Creek, LA. A friend of mine, Eddie Joffrion said Everett had become somewhat of a local hunting legend around his hometown and thought I might want to meet him. So I grabbed notebook and camera, met Eddie and headed for Turkey Creek.
